Moorabool road congestion goes nowhere

MOORABOOL council  is playing the waiting game with VicRoads and the state government over plans to address Bacchus Marsh congestion worries.

Mayor Pat Toohey said he hoped a change of premier in March would allow the government to view a plan for an eastern interchange to the Western Highway with “fresh eyes”.

But Cr John Spain said last week he was concerned that nothing had been done since. “The ball’s in their court,” he said.

The council voted in March to work closely with state and federal governments to provide a safer eastern interchange and for work to begin on Halletts Way immediately.
