A Rockbank man, 61, may lose the lower half of his right leg after being shot with a sawn-off shotgun. Police discovered the man bleeding heavily after he lost control of his car and crashed into a power pole on Werribee Street, Werribee, on Saturday.
He was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital and police said it was likely he could lose the lower half of his leg. Investigations continue.
