BEN (pictured) and his classmates will get a feel for the 1920s this week as part of Melton South Primary School’s 90th anniversary celebrations.
A 1920s-style classroom has been recreated to show pupils what school was like when Melton South opened its doors in 1923.
The classroom contains wooden desks, artefacts, books and photos. Pupils have been enjoying copperplate handwriting, spelling bee competitions and 1920s games.
Today, the pupils will bury a time capsule that contains school memorabilia to be opened for its 100th anniversary in 2023.
