A BACCHUS Marsh man, 83, has died in hospital following a crash earlier this month.
Police said the man was parking his car in a supermarket car park on McKenzie Street, Melton, just after 6pm on April 14.
It is believed instead of braking, he accelerated and collided with another car before crashing into a brick wall.
The man’s wife, who was in the car at the time of the collision, was not injured.
The man was taken to the Western Hospital but died on Wednesday.
The death brings the state’s road toll to 76.
