Thieves rob disabled children of bike education program

Detectives are appealing for information after bicycle equipment was taken from Moorabool Council offices. Senior Constable James Ross said a trailer containing eight bicycles, helmets and other equipment was stolen between 9.45am and 10am on March 10.

The trailer was being used for a primary school bicycle education program for children with a disability. Senior Constable Ross said he feared the program could be finished due to the theft.

“The community has worked so hard for this program and it’s incredibly disappointing this has happened. We’re appealing for anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of the trailer to contact police so that our local children continue to have this opportunity.”
