SOME of the fastest speedboats in the country took to the water at Pykes Creek reservoir last Wednesday for the launch of the 100th E.C. Griffith Cup.
Current world champion and Griffith Cup titleholder, Coimadai resident Grant Harrison (pictured), put on a show in his grand prix hydroplane ahead of the April 26-28 event.
With boats reaching speeds up to 270km/h, the cup is the longest-running motorsport event in the southern hemisphere.
