Thriving community Woodlands Sunbury has recorded a peak in sales since its launch mid-last year.

More than half of the estate’s 56 blocks have sold, with data indicating more than 70 per cent of buyers came from within the immediate area.

Woodlands is on the site of a former homestead with established trees and lakeside surrounds, just 2.5 kilometres from Sunbury’s town centre and a stroll to Spavin Lake.

Oliver Hume project manager Huseyin Hamit said sales figures suggested buyers were patient and willing to wait for property in their preferred location.

“The fact that almost 70 per cent of Woodlands’ purchasers come from within the suburb of Sunbury reiterates the quality of the project and the intense demand for premium home sites at this tranquil location,” he said.

“Woodlands’ sales success indicates that given the right community at the right price-point and in the right location, purchasers will leave their family homes for a more appealing lifestyle, even only moving just minutes down the road — as is the case with most of our purchasers.”

Residents Shannon Hinds and Alisha Firth decided to buy within days of discovering the Woodlands community.

“We are local to Sunbury and wanted to find a home to settle down,” Shannon said.

“Other estates were too far out of town and without established facilities nearby, but we stumbled across Woodlands Sunbury and were taken with the amazing location and exclusive feel of the community.”

A few home sites are still available at Woodlands.
