Bacchus Marsh drug raid: Three men charged

BREAKING: Three Bacchus Men have been arrested after the Moorabool criminal investigation unit discovered a backyard drug laboratory at an Underbank Boulevard residence during a pre-dawn raid this morning.

The men, aged 26, 22 and 19, were arrested after an unspecificied amount of cocaine, amphetamine, crystal methamthetamine, cannibis, a 0.22 calibre handgun and a clandestine laboratory were discovered after police executed a search warrant under Operation Blackwork at 5am.

The three men will be brought before the Ballarat Magistrates Court later today on charges of manufacturing amphetamine, possessing implements to manufacture drug of dependence, possession of drug of dependence and firearms offences.

A 31-year-old Melton man has also been charged with possession of drugs of dependence and has been bailed to appear at the Ballarat Magistrates Court on the May 24.

Moorabool and Ballarat CIU, and Ballarat drug response unit were involved in the search.
