POLICE have cautioned a Melton boy who admitted starting a fire near houses in Melton.
The boy, 11, was part of a group of 10 and 11-year-olds spoken to by police after the January 10 blaze.
The fire, which was burning towards the Western Highway, was quickly contained.
Police said they had contacted the parents of the boys involved.
