Super ton for Melton Centrals

A blistering century from Andrew Cristofaro (pictured) has set up Melton Centrals for another win in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Russell Pollock Shield division 5.

Cristofaro made a massive 157, including 24 fours and five sixes, as the Centrals made 237.

The next highest score from his teammates was 16.

The bowlers then backed it up for Centrals, having Jacana in trouble at 8-56 at stumps on day one.

Melton South Royals also had a good day with the bat, making 4-307 in just 57 overs against Flemington.

Flemington will resume at 2-48 this weekend.

In the Charles Clark Shield division 4, Caroline Springs made 242 against Williamstown Congs.

Sydenham-Hillside is 5-93 in reply to Maribyrnong Park St Marys’ 168.
