Melton South has returned to the winners’ list for the first time since round one in the Ballarat Netball League.
Facing Darley, which has just one win for the season, the Panthers controlled the game all day in the 54-38 win, keeping the Devils to single figure goals in each of the first three quarters.
The Devils had their best quarter in the last, winning the quarter 12-9.
Courtney Annett scored 29 goals from 36 shots for the Panthers and was named their best, while shooting partner Rhys Carter-Coleman Tukapua was also good, with 16 goals.
For the Devils, goaler Brianna Rizzato was their best with 14 goals.
The Panthers remain in eighth spot, while the Devils are 10th.
Meanwhile, Bacchus Marsh remains in the top six after a strong win against Melton.
The Cobras, who have been one of the biggest improvers this year, had no trouble against the winless Bloods.
The Cobras led by seven goals at quarter-time and extended the lead in every quarter, winning 61-35.
Madeline Hodgson was the standout in goals for the Cobras with 38 goals at 91 per cent accuracy. Paige Gilcrist shot 24 goals for the Bloods.
The Cobras remain in fifth spot, only two per cent behind last year’s grand finalists while the Bloods remain bottom, the only team without a win.
The other winners were Sunbury Lions, Ballarat and Lake Wendouree.
