RDNL interleague side named

The Riddell District Netball League’s next generation will lead the way as the league takes on Southern Netball League on Saturday.

In a return to interleague, the RDNL has named a 12 player squad.

Macedon coach Katie Clarke will lead the side previously having been named coach.

Last season joint Ryan Medallist Ellen Close and former Ryan Medallist Chloe Williams will lead the attack end, which also includes Kyneton’s Claire Oakley, Riddell’s Shelby Holter and Lancefield’s Darcee Ellard.

In the midcourt, Macedon’s Caitlyn Alifraco is the most experienced player. She’ll be joined by Romsey’s Emily Miles and Riddell pair Maddy Brown and Finn McKeagney-Stubbs

In defence is Kyneton captain Laura Bennie and her Tigers teammate Tilly Shepherd and Melton Centrals’ Avana Hobson.

The rest of the interleague teams will be named during the week.
