The Riddell District Football League is investigating reports a spectator ran onto the ground during play at one of the league’s senior matches at the weekend.
League operations manager Steve Williams confirmed the league had been told about an incident during the Wallan and Diggers Rest senior match, at Greenhill Reserve in Wallan on Saturday
In a statement, Williams said the league had been in touch with both Wallan and Diggers Rest clubs as part of its investigation but would not be making any further comment.
Star Weekly has been told by a spectator at the game that the incident involved a male who ran from the sidelines onto the ground early in the match.
