Melton pulls A-grade team

Melton is one of two clubs without an A-grade netball team in the Ballarat Netball League.

The Bloods, along with the Sunbury Lions, made the call not to field A-grade teams due to lack of numbers for that standard of netball.

New Bloods netball coordinator Chris Cameron has been putting a lot of work in behind the scenes, but wasn’t able to players needed.

The Bloods have entered teams in the B-grade, D-grade and E-grade competitions, but doesn’t have under-19s or C-grade teams.

The BNL competition will get underway on Saturday.

The Bloods will start the season against local rival Melton South.
