Caroline Springs has locked in its coaches for the upcoming Victorian Turf Cricket Association season.

The Falcons have new coaches for both their men’s and women’s sides, as they continue to build their program.

Shiran Rajakaruna has been appointed the men’s coach for the division 3 season.

“Arriving from Sub-District club Endeavour Hills, Shiran possesses a wealth of both playing and coaching experience that he is excited to share with our young playing group,” the club said on social media.

“Previously at Mulgrave CC, he is no stranger to the VTCA having coached at senior division club Deer Park as well as played at Williamstown CYMS.

“Approachable and knowledgeable, we cannot wait to see Shiran get the best out of our playing group and lead us to more success this summer.”

The Falcons finished in fifth last season in division 3, missing out on finals by six points. It was the Falcons first season in division 3.

The Falcons premiership winning women’s side will also have a new coach. Gary Pretty has come on board to lead that side heading forward.

“Gary boasts an extensive cricket resume including being a first XI premiership-winning captain-coach at Rupertswood while also holding life member status at Sunbury United,” the club said.

“Having claimed our maiden senior women’s premiership last summer, Gary will build on the foundations set within our squad as we look to grow and take them to the next level.”
