Bacchus Marsh suffered its third loss of the Ballarat Football League season, by 40 points to Lake Wendouree on Saturday.

The Cobras couldn’t recover from a slow start, conceding six goals in the opening quarter. Despite the best efforts of Bacchus Marsh’s Cameron Richardson and Liam Mullen, the margin continued to grow.

The 19.10 (124) – 12.12 (84) win was Lake Wendouree’s sixth of the season, enough to maintain third place on the ladder.

Elsewhere at the weekend, Ballarat smashed Sebastopol by 120 points, while North Ballarat City beat Sunbury by 46.
