Bacchus Marsh opened its account in the Ballarat Netball League, beating arch-rival Darley on Saturday.
The Cobras had to work hard for the win, with the Devils the better side in the first half.
The Devils led by three goals at quarter-time and two goals at half-time.
The Cobras found another level in the third quarter, outscoring the Devils 17-7 to take control of the game.
They extended that lead in the last quarter to win, 53-40, to get their first win of the season.
Ashlee Mitchell shot 31 goals at 89 per cent to lead the Cobras.
Melanie Freeman was the sharp shooter for the Devils, shooting 31 goals from 36 attempts.
The Devils are without a win after two rounds, but have shown some good signs against sides that played finals last season.

It was a tough weekend for both Melton and Melton South, with both sides suffering big losses.
Melton was no match for East Point, losing 76-38.
The Kangaroos took a nine-goal lead after the first quarter and extended that in every quarter.
Paige Gilcrist and Keely Boudrie shot 18 goals apiece for the Bloods.
After a first-up win, Melton South found it tougher against the Sunbury Lions on Saturday.
The Lions led from start to finish, winning 61-38.
Charity Suafoa short 36 goals for the Panthers.
This weekend, Bacchus Marsh hosts Melton, while Melton South plays Darley.
