Darley has received a massive boost with Rebecca Hicks recommitting for next year’s Ballarat Netball League season. Hicks joined the club early in the season and fitted in really well, finishing in the top three of the league best and fairest. Hicks proved to be one of the better shooters in the competition. Defender Matilda Elliot has also re-signed for next season.

CBL

Melton Thoroughbreds’ Jessica Kivimets and Trinity Steele along with the Bacchus Marsh Lions Jordan Wilson have been nominated for the Basketball Victoria Country Basketball League north-west awards. Ten players in each division have been nominated for the most valuable player award and all-star five team award. Kivimets in her debut season in the competition led the scoring for the Thoroughbreds, while Steele was third on the list.
