7.10 (52)-7.9 (51) thriller. In a hard- fought contest from the opening minutes, neither side was able to build a significant lead.
Leading by three points going into the last term, Diggers Rest failed to make the most of its chances late in the game, booting 3.4.
Luke Smailes and Patrick Jackson were the only multiple goal scorers for the Burras, kicking two apiece.
Diggers Rest is 1-1 for the season, having beaten Riddell in the opening round.
