A disastrous batting display cost Sydenham-Hillside any chance of victory in its North West Metro Cricket Association match against Kealba Green Gully at the weekend.
Sydenham was dismissed for just 83 after winning the toss. Kealba’s Andrew Webb did most of the damage with 4-10 from eight overs.
Kealba brought up victory in the 26th over for the loss of five wickets. Captain Evan Long top-scored with 34 for the winners.
Kealba is third on the George Luscombe Shield table with one win and a draw to start the season. Sydenham-Hillside is in seventh spot, still hunting its first win.
