Melton Phoenix lost 0-3 to FC Strathmore in FFV state league 4 west on Saturday.
Strathmore, which is second on the ladder, scored a goal in the opening half and added two more in the second.
The loss leaves Melton fifth on the ladder with four wins and three losses.
This week Melton faces Point Cook.
