Melton’s first XI has ended a disappointing season on a high, claiming its third win of the season at the weekend.
In the final one-dayer against Croydon, Melton piled on 5-213 after winning the toss, thanks to another half-century from skipper Nathan Giesler (62 not out).
In reply, Croydon never got going and four wickets to Brad Jones (4/16) helped Melton to bowl out the hosts for 146.
