Bacchus Marsh battled hard in its GDCA McIntyre Cup match with Sunbury on Saturday but fell just short.
Chasing the home side’s 148 from last week, Bacchus Marsh lost early wickets but still looked the likely winner after recovering to 7-134.
But three late wickets to Brad Hunter saw Marsh bowled out for 139. Ian Spiteri (43) top-scored for the visitors in a losing cause.
