Kurunjang Park has secured its first section one win of the Macedon Ranges Tennis Association season – a 35-game victory against Gisborne on Saturday.
Kurunjang started the round in last place on the six-team table but jumped up to fifth with its 7-58 to 2-23 win. Bacchus Marsh (44 points) still has a comfortable buffer from Kurunjang (26), which is in the top four.

Bacchus Marsh fell three games short against Sunbury, down 5-50 to 4-47.
Sunbury swept the men’s doubles sets, but Bacchus Marsh’s Anne Monaghan, Lea Ticehurst and Belinda Marshall swept the women’s doubles.
Sunbury prevailed two sets to one in the mixed doubles.
