Rockbank returned to the AE Lowe Shield top four with a six-wicket win against Hoppers Crossing on Saturday.
The Rams reached 4-137 to beat Crossing’s 135, set the previous weekend. Rockbank (18) is three points ahead of fifth-placed United Tarneit (15).
At the top of the ladder, Eynesbury (31) had its match against United Tarneit washed out but it still leads by five from Altona Sports (26), with Charles Sturt University third (22).
Rockbank resumed at 2-54 against Hoppers Crossing, but lost two early wickets to be 4-62. Jordan Porter (37) and Tim Gugliemo (34) shared a 65-run stand to seal victory.
Both Porter and Gugliemo went out in a spurt of 4-2 after the target was passed. Rockbank finished at 8-139.
