Darley saved face with the bat but remains winless in Ballarat Cricket Association first grade after a nine-wicket loss to Ballarat-Redan on Saturday.
Skittled for 73 batting first, Darley was playing to prevent an outright defeat as Ballarat-Redan declared its first innings at 8-138.
But the Lions recovered in their second dig, with Lachlan Herrig (58no) and Tim Hughes (35no) sharing an unbeaten 96-run stand before stumps were called after 36 overs.
Darley is one of three winless teams, along with East Ballarat and Coronet City.
