Melton’s march to the FFV state league 5 title continued with a 4-0 win against Lara on Saturday.
Two goals to Chris Briggs and one each to Carlos Velasquez and Beau Chang gave Melton its 15th win from 18 games.
The Phoenix (47 points) are on top of the ladder, ahead by four
points with a game in hand from second-placed Point Cook (43) and
third-placed Brimbank Stallions (42). Melton plays a catch-up match
tomorrow from 8.30pm against Melbourne Lions at Arndell Park Reserve in
Truganina. However, there will be no Melton match this Saturday.
