MELTON’S winning streak rolled on in Big V men’s division 2 on Saturday night with a 12-point win away to Shepparton Gators.
The Thoroughbreds squared their season at four wins and four losses with the 69-57 victory, continuing their recovery from a zero-and-four start to the season.
Melton shared the scoring load on a low-percentage shooting night for both teams, with Jeff Crowe scoring 12 points albeit three-of-13 from the field, Paul Ross 13 points (five of 11) and Michael McCallum 11 (five of 14).
Melton hosts Maccabi Warriors (10th, 2-7) from 3pm on Sunday.
Melton’s Youth League 2 men remain top of the table with an eight-and-one record after a 96-92 win against Camberwell Dragons.
