MOORABOOL teams Ballan and Gordon both fell to opening-round defeats on Saturday.
Gordon never recovered from conceding seven goals to one against Bungaree, going down 8.8 (56) to 14.7 (91).
Daylesford steadily increased the margin at each interval against Ballan, winning 21.13 (139) to 10.12 (72).
Gordon hosts Dunnstown this Saturday, while Ballan is away at Waubra.
