MELTON Thoroughbreds are still searching for a first win of the Big V men’s division 2 season after a three-point loss to Mornington Breakers on Saturday night.
The Breds are 0-3 after a 77-80 defeat. Jeff Crowe scored 22 points for Melton, while Michael McCallum (13 pts, 11 rebounds), Jordan Kirk 914 pts) and Shane Moroney (13 pts) were also in double figures.
Melton will go hunting a first win under new coach Grant Spencer at home against Pakenham Warriors from 8pm on Saturday.
The Breds’ youth league 2 men (3-1) beat Mornington Peninsula 70-67 at the weekend and tip off at 6pm against Southern Peninsula Sharks on Saturday.
