Youth award nominations open

Do you know an outstanding young person who has contributed to Moorabool Shire? Youth Award nominations are now open.

Moorabool Youth Services is proudly hosting the 2023 Youth Awards with the aim of celebrating young people’s achievements and contributions made within their community.

The Youth Awards will acknowledge the actions of young people aged between 12 and 25 who live, work or study in Moorabool Shire. We are looking for young people who have made a significant contribution within the community or have demonstrated commitment to personal growth.

Moorabool Mayor Rod Ward said he wants to see the community get involved in the awards.

“These awards are popular every year and I encourage anyone who knows a worthy recipient to nominate them in one of the categories available,” he said.

The categories are community development, personal growth, youth inspiration, group project, inclusion and diversity, creative arts, volunteer and influential adult.

The Youth Awards event will take place on Thursday 16 November at the Bacchus Marsh Town Hall.

Nominations for the awards close at 11.59pm on Wednesday, November 1.

Information about each category is available on Council’s website or by contacting Council’s Youth Services team on 5366 7100 or via email youthservices@moorabool.vic.gov.au.

Nominations can be submitted through completing an online form.
