Your guide to Anzac Day

Many local community groups throughout Melton and Moorabool will invite the public to join them in marking Anzac Day on April 25, in order to commemorate, reflect and remember the brave men and women who served Australia in conflicts and peace keeping missions in the past and present. See the list below for where your local commemorative activities will take place.

Melton

The Melton RSL sub-branch will hold a 6am Dawn Service at the Cenotaph on High Street. Then at 7am, there will be a Gunfire Breakfast for the public at the Melton Country Club. This will be followed by a march to the Civic Centre from 10am starting on the corner of High and Alexandra Streets and then a Commemoration Service at the conclusion of the march.

Caroline Springs

The Caroline Springs RSL sub-branch Dawn Service will take place at the war memorial at Lake Caroline from 6am. The service will be followed by a Gunfire Breakfast at WestWaters complex.

Bacchus Marsh

The Bacchus Marsh RSL sub-branch will hold a Dawn Service at 5:30am on the Village Green in Main Street. This will be followed by a commemorative march and service commencing on Grant Street and towards the Village Green from 9:30am.

Ballan

The Ballan RSL sub-branch will hold a Dawn Service at McLean Reserve from 6am. This will be followed by a commemorative march and service commencing at the Ballan RSL sub-branch and heading to the local Cenotaph from 12:30pm.

Navigators

The Navigators History Group will hold a Dawn Service at the War Memorial on Navigators Road from 6:30am. This will be followed by a breakfast at the Navigators Community Hall.
