Writing their own story

Hard work runs in Christie Lyons’ and Lauren Kelly’s family.

The Hillside mother and daughter team, who are also business partners, are finalists in the Making a Difference and Social Impact categories of the upcoming AusMumpreneur Awards later this month.

The annual awards recognise and reward Australian mums and celebrates the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business.

Ms Lyons and Ms Kelly established White Light Publishing House in 2014 to help authors make their works a reality.

The duo also provides spiritual guidance through the business and a portion of all their proceeds gets donated to charity.

“We recognise the need for writers and artists to see their publishing dreams realised, and have created an affordable option that also allows clients to maintain rights to their work,” Ms Kelly said.

“Our spiritual guidance and healing helps people to live an empowered and authentic life. Our business creates a ripple effect of love, happiness and compassion.”

Ms Lyons specialises in reading tarot, energy healing and writing and encourages other women to follow their passions.

The winners of the 2017 AusMumpreneur Awards will be announced in Sydney on August 25.
