The Wolfe Brothers are ready to hit Melton as they rock their way around the country.
The Tasmanian band, which includes lead singer Nick Wolfe, brother Tom on bass and lead guitarist Brodie Rainbird, will play at Macs Hotel this Saturday, March 16, on their Country Heart national tour.
Nick said that the tour celebrates the band’s fourth studio album debuting on the ARIA Charts at number nine last year.
“We are all stoked and really proud of this ARIA Top 10 debut,” Nick said.
“We have our fans to thank for going out and buying the album.”
Tom said the latest album was penned while the trio was on a songwriting trip to Nashville last year where they collaborated with a number of writers to create a “different sound”.
“We really wanted to do something different, something that would reach a wider audience and something to show that we have grown and matured as a band and as songwriters,” he said.
“We feel that we achieved what we set out to.”
Rainbird said the album was not a massive departure from the past Wolfe Brothers records – “it is just different”.
“In the past we have always been a guitar-driven band. This time we never picked up a guitar until we were two weeks into the recording. We took the time to work on the parts of every song … the response … has been incredibly encouraging for us.”
