Wet weather causes Melton grass growth

Heavy spring rain has caused significant grass growth throughout Melton.

The council said in a Facebook post this week that it’s working on addressing the overgrowth but that the ongoing wet weather is slowing progress.

The warmer weather and above average rainfall have provided ideal conditions for the grass to grow quickly, increasing mowing requirements.

The post read: “we appreciate your continued patience as we work to get on top of things. Please be patient as park staff respond to the most urgent matters first and work through all the locations”.

Residents can notify council of overgrown grass through their online form: https://bit.ly/3CCVnm0
