A truck driver has been killed after crashing into a tree near Darley early Saturday.
The man was driving inbound on the Western Freeway between Bacchus Marsh-Gisborne Road and the Avenue of Honour about 7.15am when he drove off the road, through a guard rail and struck a tree.
Emergency services attended the crash however the man died at the scene.
No one else was injured and no other vehicles are believed to be involved.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
