Friends of a young Melton mother found dead last week have described her as a good person with “a kind heart”.
The body of 20-year-old law student Jackie Deng was found in a Unitt Street house on March 13.
Police believe Ms Deng moved into the unit two months ago with her two-year- old son.
Tributes continue to flow online for her.
A friend said she was a “good girl” and a “good mum”.
Another post said: “It’s been a rough night knowing I lost an older sister; she was an older sister I never had.
“Her and I were very close; she told me great advice.
“She doesn’t deserve to be taken so young, she was a kind heart and a loving girl.
“No one knows how much I cried last night, still awake till now praying … Life is not fair, but I truly know God has her beautiful soul in a better place.”
A 24-year-old Melton man has been charged with her murder and remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on July 19.
