Five months of a strict health regime and eight weeks of learning to walk in heels has led Robin Kuipers to fulfil a life-long dream.
The Melton personal trainer placed third at the Arnold Classic in Melbourne last Friday in the figure category for bodybuilding.
Kuipers was pitted against 29 of the state’s best fitness comeptitors and said she exceeded her own expectations.
“I was so chuffed and I wasn’t expecting it at all,” she said. “I was my own worst enemy because I thought there was no way that I was going to place and when they called my name out I was absolutely blown away.”
The 44-year-old dominated the state qualifier on March 10 to win the masters’ division.
Her stringent training program included eating every four hours.
