Three Melton men charged with burglary

Three men from the Melton area have been charged with a range of offenses following an aggravated burglary in Grovedale last month.

A 35-year-old Kurunjang man and a 23-year-old Melton man were both arrested in Oak Park and charged with a range of offences, including home invasion, false imprisonment, assault with weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.

A 35-year-old Hillside man was arrested in Hillside and also charged with a number of offences, including home invasion, aggravated burglary and theft of firearms.

The three men were remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on June 29.

Two other Melbourne men were also arrested and charged with crimes related to the aggravated burglary.

Victoria Police detectives from the Illicit Firearms Squad seized nine firearms and a large quantity of ammunition during the arrests.
