Police are appealing for public assistance following an assault and theft in Melton last week.
Investigators have been told a woman arrived at her Swan Street home and disturbed a youth standing on her verandah looking through the windows around 10am on Wednesday October 14.
The teen fled before she noticed another man sitting in the driver’s seat of her car which was parked in her driveway.

As he fled from her vehicle, he pushed the 53-year-old woman against a carport pole which caused her to fall to the ground and sustain minor bruising.
She noticed her vehicle had been searched through and $250 cash was stolen.
Both offenders are perceived to be of African appearance and about 15-years-old.
The first is described as skinny and was wearing dark blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
