Five teenagers have been interviewed and two have been charged after a brawl in a shopping centre in Melton West last week which allegedly left a police officer with a suspected broken nose.
The fight between about 20 males and females broke out just after 4pm on March 5 outside the Melton West Shopping Centre, police said.
Officers used capsicum spray to break up the brawl and subdue the crowd.
Police said an officer was treated for a suspected broken nose after being struck in the face.
The exact cause of the affray, just off High Street, is yet to be determined.

Three other teenage girls, aged 17, 15, and 14, are expected to be charged on summons.
