Teens charged over alleged armed robberies

Four teens have been arrested over a series of alleged armed robberies and aggravated home invasions.

Police said a 16-year-old Brookfield boy was facing a number of charges including aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, armed robbery and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

He was remanded in custody to face court on November 11.

A 15-year-old Kurunjang boy was charged with robbery, intentionally causing injury, theft of a motor vehicle, affray and committing an indictable offence while on bail, police said.

In a statement, police said an application had been made to have the boy remanded in custody.

A 16-year-old boy from Brookfield was charged with a number of offences, including two counts of armed robbery, affray, indictable assault police and committing an indictable offence while on bail. Police said they also made an application to have remanded in custody.

A 19-year-old man from Melton was charged with robbery, affray, unlawful assault, theft, criminal damage and assault with a weapon. Police have made an application to have him remanded in custody.
