Parents of youngsters attending early- education centres showed their appreciation of these other ‘significant adults’ in their children’s lives as part of Early Childhood Educators Day.
Director of Melton-based Offspring Education Lara Jennings is collecting ‘thank-you’ notes from parents to add to the collages she will make for the educators, who, she says, care deeply for every child they work with.
“Parents and educators share the same goals and it makes our job as parents so much easier knowing that our children are in good hands. Educators deserve to be recognised for the valuable work they do,” she said.
Early Childhood Educators Day recognises the role of early-childhood educators in teaching and caring for the leaders of tomorrow.
“[The aim is] to engage young minds and improve the learning outcomes of children and students, and early-childhood educators really help in achieving this,” Ms Jennings said.
Collecting thank-you notes is Offspring Education’s first campaign, and Ms Jennings is urging parents to show their support for people who are making such a positive difference.
