Taylors Hill teen charged with murder following fatal St Kilda stabbing

Seven people have been charged during an "intense investigation" into a St Kilda stabbing over the past seven weeks.

A 15-year-old Taylors Hill boy has been charged with murder as part of an investigation into a fatal stabbing in St Kilda in December.

The teen was was initially charged in December with a range of offences in relation to the incident, including violent disorder and affray, and has remained in custody since that time.

Police charged him with murder on Friday, January 20.

The charge follow an incident where emergency services were called to St Kilda beach just after 7.30pm on December 4, 2022, following reports of people fighting.

An 18-year-old Tarneit man was found with stab wounds on the beach in the vicinity of Pier Road.

He was taken to hospital but subsequently died.

The Taylors Hill boy will face a children’s court at a later date.
