If there’s one thing Kathryn Long has learnt from her own mum, it’s to spend as much time with her children as she can.

“Spend time and not money,” Ms Long says.

She’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day with her three beautiful children – Nessa, 5, Koby, 3, and Blake, 1 – this weekend.

But she’ll start the morning at the Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne’s CBD to raise money for breast cancer research.

“I do the Mother’s Day Classic every year with my sister … We wanted to be better role models for our children,” Ms Long says.

“Then we’ll be having lunch with my mum and dinner with my mother-in-law.”

Ms Long says Mother’s Day is a chance for her to spend time with her children and look back at how much her mother has done for her.
