Street and stencil artist HAHA is bringing his art and ideas to Melton.
Those keen to unleash their inner creativity joined HAHA – aka Regan Tamanui – at Raglans Cottage last week for workshops.
The Melbourne-based artist will launch his
700 CUTS exhibition on November 10 at
CS Gallery in Caroline Springs.
The works highlight HAHA’s investigations of fame, culture and experiments in “colliding identities”.
Melton mayor Sophie Ramsey is excited about the artist exhibiting his work in Caroline Springs.
“Art comes in all shapes, sizes and colours, and HAHA’s work exemplifies a modern art form popular with young people,” Cr Ramsey said.
“Having one of Australia’s top street artists showing their work in the city will hopefully inspire other young people to give stencil art a go.
“This exhibition forms part of a whole season of street art events aimed at developing positive connections between local community, young people, art and urban spaces.”
The 700 CUTS art exhibition will open on Friday, November 10, from 3.30pm at 193-201 Caroline Springs Boulevard, Caroline Springs.
