Songs of Christmas

Melton residents are in for a night of singing and celebration at Carols by Candlelight.

The annual event at Melton Recreation Reserve on Saturday, December 1, will be filled with festive entertainment for the whole family.

Starting at 6.30pm, the event will feature community entertainers including talented primary school pupils, choirs and musicians.

Flame-free candles will light up the park from 7.30pm. Feature artists such as Lucca Franco, Al Wilkinson and Lheon will encourage audience members to embrace the Christmas spirit.

For kids, there’ll be face-painting, a jumping castle, entertainment by The Mik Maks and Santa’s craft village.

Tasty treats will be served up by a line-up of food vans and Melton Valley Rotary Club members will man a sausage sizzle.

Melton deputy mayor Lara Carli said Carols by Candlelight was always delightful.

“It’s an event not to be missed,” she said. “This is a wonderful annual event that celebrates the importance of family, friends and the magic of Christmas.

“I invite everyone to bring their best singing voices and enjoy performances that will lift spirits and create a sense of excitement for the coming holidays.”
