The numbers are in for Melton and Moorabool’s vaccination rates.

The federal government released the latest data yesterday, showing both councils’ one dose rate exceeding 95 per cent, the same figure as last week.

Second doses have increased dramatically in both areas, with Melton seeing 80.7 per cent of residents fully jabbed, an increase of 8.2 per cent from last week.

Moorabool’s second dose numbers also jumped, with 86.3 per cent of residents receiving their second dose, an increase of 7.2 per cent.

Overall, Victoria is well on its way to reaching 90 per cent vaccination rates, which is predicted to happen by November 24.

When the state reaches those figures more restrictions will ease, including no capacity, density or gathering limits and major events allowed.
