Eynesbury Rotary is inviting families and friends to come and say ‘’G’day” to to their neighbours Sunday, September 10 at The Homestead.

Rotary’s Meet Your Neighbours Day is a chance for new and ‘newish’ residents in Eynesbury to meet each other in a safe, social, fun setting.

Eynesbury Rotary member Ross Butterworth said following feedback from the community the club found that since COVID it has been difficult for some people in the community to reach out and meet people on a social footing.

“More examples of people stuck at home or increasingly busy at their employment had people reaching out to find out what was on in our township, where they could meet people, how they can get involved in activities and these questions were increasingly appearing on social media,” he said.

“The Rotary Club of Eynesbury had previously supported a popular community-led get-together where more than 40 locals came together in 2019 and we believe it’s time to re-introduce the concept for our wonderful community to come together and decided to establish regular ‘Meet your Neighbours’ days.

“It’s the first of many more hopefully with The Homestead and potentially local parks hosting future events.”

Supported by The Homestead and the Resimax Group, drop in and say “hi” between from 2.30pm to 4.30pm for a grazing platter, a free drink and a 20 per cent Homestead discount voucher.

Bookings are essential for the free event, to book, contact Ross by September 3.
