Santa is coming to Bacchus Marsh

Residents in Bacchus Marsh and surrounding areas can look forward to in-person carols by candlelight this year.

Event organiser Daniel Webb from Webb’s Event Group said they are looking forward to bringing “some cheer and excitement back to the community and families”.

“Having the Carols live is what all the kids deserve after the last 20 months.

“[It] doesn’t matter if you’re one or 90 years old, being at the atmosphere of a live carols event is what Christmas tradition should be about.”

The 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID which Mr Webb said “left families without that special atmosphere”.

This year, Mr Webb said the audience can expect a traditional carols with “great talented artists and, of course, the ‘big man’ himself is making his own special arrival”.

“We would like to remind the public that we do have to follow all the government regulations and guidelines. There will be check in stations and security to help us follow these to help keep us all safe at these times,” Mr Webb said.

The event will kick off at 3.30pm on December 17 with performances starting at 7.30 and a grand finale of “an amazing fireworks display”.
